Nestled in the heart of the enchanting Onetangi Valley, our intimate haven of viniculture spans a cozy 7 acres. This darling vineyard of ours is the birthplace of The W Ultrapremium Range – an exclusive delight you can only indulge in at the Wild Estate Restaurant and Cellar Door. There's no such thing as 'too small' here at Wild Estate—only 'just enough' to ensure the unique character in each bottle. We've been busy little bees, replenishing and replanting our vineyard with a twist. While Waiheke is famed for its red varietals, we noticed our guests' penchant for lighter sips during the sun-drenched summers. Hence, we've introduced more white styles perfect for those long, lazy alfresco afternoons on our picturesque lawn. Remember, at Wild Estate, every sip of wine is a story waiting to be told.
Never underestimate the power of small but mighty! Being a boutique vineyard, we might not have our very own winemaking facilities, but that doesn't mean we're short on magic. Instead, we've linked arms with some of New Zealand's finest, turning our petite size into an advantage. Our viticulturist, the one and only Matt Sloane, has got our back and quite a few others on the Island, treating our vines with the love and care they deserve. And boy, does he know his grapes!
As for the alchemy that transforms those grapes into our liquid gold? That happens next door at Mudbrick's Winemaking facility. And the maestro's conducting this symphony of flavours?
